The Evolution Of Royalty

This is my first action project. The projects are based on organisms that the 10th-grade class went to go visit at the Lincoln Park Zoo. I chose the Lion as my organism because I’ve always found them interesting. I feel like I personally connect with this certain animal because My zodiac sign is the Leo and I wanted to know if we had any traits that were the same. And I feel like we do. I will be talking about how they act, what habitat do they live in, the type of foods they eat, etc. I want to know how they are and what their life is like.

These are two pictures that I took when we went to the Lincoln Park Zoo for our first FE in Population.  They only had the female lion, so that was the only thing I could take pictures of.

Here is a picture that I drew of my animal:
"The African Lion" KRM 2017

  • Heterotrophic because lions eat other animals so that they can have energy and so they can survive.
  • Chordata because they have spines and they help them walk
  • Mammalia because they have fur, and it helps them stay warm
  • Primates because some lions live in trees
  • Hominidae because they can everything with 3D Vision
  • Panthera because a lion is a big cat
  • Panthera leo because lions are predators which means they hunt for their food
Set Theory
Here is the set theory that shows how my Lion is related to house cats:

L( Traits of African Lions): 4 legged, carnivores, reproduce, tree-dwelling, sharp teeth and claws
C( Traits of House Cats): make noise, small, scared easily, protective, live in houses

  1. LUC= ( 4 legged, carnivores, reproduce, sharp-teeth and claws, make noise, protective)
  2. L∈ ( make noises and protective)
  3. L∈' ( herbivores, autotrophs, have scales, live underground
Here is a list of similarities and differences between my organism and two other organisms:

Conclusion

In conclusion, this AP has been very interesting I didn't think that I would've been able to do this AP because of the way Aaron was explaining it. Now I know how the action projects go and what they are supposed to look like. From now on my AP should become better and better due to progression and I hope that I did a pretty good job on my project.
