Without Pictures Where Would We Be?

During our last week of Population, we have been working on understanding the Nature Preservation Method and how it helps scientist discover new things and make new observations.  For my AP, I talked about why photography is important to the scientist.  Science would be very hard to understand for layman because they don't study science.  Pictures help a lot when it comes to primary children because they may not be as smart as a 15-year-old is.  This was a very good project because it made sense to me and I was able to connect this project to my actual life.  Aaron gave us a rubric that made sense to me and I was able to do exactly what I was supposed to do.  I feel like I am going to pass this AP and I hope that Aaron enjoys this AP. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Journey To Freedom

For these last few weeks of this term in stories, we have been talking about heroes and the cycles they have to go through to get to their destination. Heroes have to have certain character traits about them, that makes a huge part of them. On this action project, we had to compare two heroes, one real hero and a hero that has been made up (a movie hero). We worked on this project for this entire week and that really helped me because I knew that I wasn't going to have time to work on it after school, due to dance. The rubric that Sharon gave us really helped because I was lost on certain things and I didn't want to fail this AP. I titled my project "The Journey To Freedom". My two characters deal with freedom and how they also helped others receive freedom as well. In my AP, you will see who my characters are, and the different stages that heroes had to go through just to reach their goals. For this AP, I chose Harriet Tubman and Caesar the ape. These two c

In stories, we have been talking about fables and how all fables teach lessons. We talked about the characters that are usually in fables. They are mostly animals that can talk because people don't want for children to feel bad. We had time to work on our projects during class and I took advantage of that time because I knew that I was going to need the time due to my active sports. Sharon helped us a lot with our projects. We created a fable in class and it helped me understand what I had to do for my project. My story takes place in the jungle/ wild and I hope you enjoy my story! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Once upon a time, there was a large lion named Queen. She was very nice and she loved taking care of the other animals in the jungle. Queen was always there for her fellow animal friends, she would make sure the elephants are never in trouble by guarding them when they want

This is my first AP in Stories and it and I feel like I did a great job for my first project. In class we have been taking about creation myths and how they explain how certain things in the world came to be. We had a storyteller come in an she talked to us about creation myths. We made one as a class together and it was really nice. Here is my creation myth that I made up for my Action Project. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Once upon a time on an island with no name, King Josiah was very upset that his hand made island was very cold. Since his island was so cold, his wife, Queen Khaliya, became very sick, and she needed her husband's help so that she could get well. The doctor told King Josiah that he had to name something that was very important to him so that Queen Khaliya could get better. As King Josiah is thinking about what he should name, Queen Khal
